NEDERLANDS-VLAAMSE KRING VAN DIATOMISTEN (NVKD)
De NVKD werd in 1986 opgericht en is hét platvorm voor Nederlandstalige liefhebbers en onderzoekers van kiezelalgen oftewel diatomeeën. We richten ons zowel tot amateurs als tot professionals.
De NVKD bevordert door haar activiteiten de studie en het onderzoek van de diatomeeën.
De NVKD publiceert het tijdschrift Diatomededelingen en organiseert één keer per jaar de 3-daagse studiedagen, ieder jaar op een andere locatie in Nederland of België. De studiedagen bestaan uit een taxonomische workshop, een lezingendag en een excursie.

Lidmaatschap bij de NVKD staat open voor iedereen. Voor studenten is financiële ondersteuning beschikbaar om aan de studiedagen deel te kunnen nemen. Het lidmaatschap kost slechts €15,00 per jaar. Leden ontvangen 1x per jaar het blad diatomededelingen en een uitnodiging voor het bijwonen van de taxonomische workshop, de lezingen en excursie op de NVKD-studiedagen.

The society was founded in 1986 and is the platform for Dutch speaking fans and researchers of diatoms. We represent both hobbyists and professionals.
The NVKD supports with its activities the study and research of diatoms.
The NVKD publishes the journal Diatomededelingen and organizes every year a 3-day study event, taking place at locations in the Netherlands or Belgium. These study days consists of a taxonomic workshop, a lecture day and an excursion.

Membership of the NVKD is open to all. We provide financial support for students to attend the study days. The annual membership fee is €15.00.
