We are invited to hold our annual ‘NVKD lecture days 2019’ at 

De Plantentuin, Meise Belgium. Bart Van de Vijver at De Plantentuin will host the meeting from 3-5 October

Taxonomic Workshop

The first day 3 October, will focus on the traditional taxonomic workshop; it’s the 10th workshop and so, a great tradition in the meantime. Bart van de Vijver will again set up an exciting program and will present fresh taxonomic insight of the Fragilaria capucina complex.

​

Diatom Lectures

On Friday 4 october is the annual lecture day (no costs) with a number of inspiring diatom lectures.

 

Excursion

On Saturday the excursion will lead us to a location in de Province of Antwerp.

Presenting Posters

This year there is an possibility presenting posters during the lecture day on 4 October. After the lunch break, the authors get the time to present their poster to their colleagues in 5-8 min sessions. More info here

Student grants

The NVKD provides a total of 5 scholarships, each with a value of 100-200 euros. The scholarship is intended to cover the travel, accommodation and accommodation costs of the student. All students, enrolled at a university and not yet promoted / undergraduate, qualify. More info here

Important deadlines

15 September 2019: student scholarship application

25 September 2019: register via the registration form for                                            taxonomic workshop, lecture day and                                        excursion.

25 September 2019: give up for dinner on Friday 4 October via registration form.
